About Me
Hi, I’m Jodi, the creator and color-obsessed heart behind The Chandelier Queer. What began as a simple hunt for the perfect light fixture for my living room quickly turned into a full-on love affair with vintage chandeliers and the spark that started this entire rainbow-soaked adventure.
I rescue forgotten, often dusty vintage lighting and transform each piece into a bold, joyful celebration of color. Every prism is hand-colored, sealed, and reimagined, turning these once-overlooked chandeliers into vibrant, one-of-a-kind art pieces with personality, presence, and plenty of sparkle. Each one gets a name, a story, and a second life that’s anything but subtle.
My work lives at the intersection of upcycling, maximalism, queer creativity, and nostalgia, blending retro glamour with modern color in a way that feels playful, bright, and deeply personal. Whether I’m building a rainbow chandelier wall for an arts event, installing a showpiece in a gallery, or shipping a reimagined beauty to its new home, my goal is always the same: to bring more joy, color, and magic into the world one chandelier at a time.
When I’m not in the studio, you can find me sourcing new vintage treasures, dreaming up wild installations, spending time with my amazing partner and family or hanging out with my two “assistants,” Earl and Emma, who supervise the creative process (and occasionally demand snacks).
Thanks for being here — I’m so glad you found your way into my rainbow-lit corner of the world. 🌈✨
